Cottondale has been awarded quite a few grants in the last couple of years following Hurricane Michael and the COVID Pandemic. The grants listed have come available through both Federal and State funding. Several have been completed while others are well underway. With the help of Engineers and Administrators construction is on the horizon.

CDBG N07 – Water line replacement on the west side of Cottondale FY 2020-2021

SRF – Water Tank Replacement FY 2020-2021

CARES – The Cares Act purchased the City a new fire truck and equipment FY 2020-2021

RURAL DEVELOPMENT – Awarded the City with a NEW Police vehicle FY 2020-2021

SCOP – DOT Zion Street Resurfacing $304,396.00 FY 2021-2022

Awarded Grants Expected to Begin Construction FY2022-2023

CW SRF – Main Wastewater Plant Renovation $883,754.00

CDBG-DR – Culverts and Caney Pond $4,347,351.00

CDBG-HR – Hometown Revitalization $1,691.221.46

With the approval of property owners, the HR Grant provides for the demolition of run-down buildings, making way for economic growth.

RIF – Rural Infrastructure Fund Linked to CDBG-HR $1,000,000.00

CDBG-CV – Community Center Expansion $1,426,659.00

RIF – Rural Infrastructure Fund Sprayfield Search Grant $300,000.00
