Police Chief

Chief Richard Carley has been in law enforcement approximately 28 years with around 35 years in public safety. Within this time, he served as a shift lieutenant for the Immokalee Fire Control District, road patrol deputy, road patrol sergeant, and agricultural crimes investigator.  Carley has achieved goals as a field training officer, law enforcement instructor, SRU member, and vice president of the Florida Agricultural Crimes Unit.  Chief Carley is a father to four children and a husband to his wife of 19 years. The family enjoys hunting, fishing, working their property, and good family time. Of course, the best times are being bombarded by the grandchildren. They have lived in the panhandle area for about 12 years now and look forward to many more.

Have you met Officer George Record II? Record achieved his life goal approximately 3 years ago when he became an officer. Record is a resident of Bay County and has been married to the love of his life for 18 years. Together they have one child. They enjoy serving others and standing up for those who need it. Office Record says, he strives daily to serve Cottondale with honor, integrity, and honestly.

Meet Andrew Roedel of the Cottondale Police Department, who started his career in law enforcement as a dispatcher with the Marianna Police Department back in 1998.   Moving up through the ranks to the final position of Staff Sergeant. (patrol division).  As his career evolved, he attained the highest rank of Sergeant (patrol devision) at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Now approching 24 yrs as an officer, Roedel says, he has always had a passion for helping people, serving in the community, and building positive relationships with the citizens.
